Flame elves are a "subrace" of night elves featured in the Warcraft series. They are followers of Ragnaros and the Old Gods. Flame elves are members of the Druids of the Flame.

The Druids of the Flame are a sect of druids loyal to Ragnaros the Firelord, led by his new majordomo Fandral Staghelm. These vile creatures have turned their backs on Cenarius' teachings and now worship the Fire Lord, Ragnaros. Twisted by his insane power, they desire nothing more than to bury everything in ash. They operate mainly in the Firelands. The flame elves are members of the Twilight's Hammer and serve the Twilight Prophet.

Following the deaths of Ragnaros and Fandral Staghelm, the current status of the flame elves is unknown. It is assumed that they were all killed, or are still aligned with the Old Gods.

Flame elves have a lot of physical characteristics identical to the night elves. However, they have red to orange skin which is coursing with flames. Flame elves have dark hair colors and their eyes are a glowing orange or amber color.

The flame elves of the Druids of the Flame seem to have been formed when Malfurion Stormage took a passive stance in the ongoing Alliance-Horde War. They are likely holdout loyalists of Fandral Staghelm after the events of Stormrage and that their emergence is an escalation of the schism that existed between Tyrande and Fandral during Malfurion's absence.

The flame elves of the Druids of the Flame worship the Firelord Ragnaros. They also worship the Old Gods.

The druids of flame have the same abilities as regular druids, although their powers usually involve some type of fire or flame. Druids of the Flame have animal forms similar to normal druids, however their forms involve some type of fire, such as fire cats, fire scorpions and fire hawks.

  • The flame elves are not really a subrace, just a type of night elf loyal to Ragnaros and the Old Gods.
